With Edinburgh schools due to break for the Easter holidays on Friday, March 29, we've taken a look at what you can do to keep the kids busy in and around the Capital.
There are plenty of great events to take the kids to over the two week school holiday, particularly around Easter Sunday itself, Sunday, March 31. With lots of Easter trails at some of Edinburgh's landmarks including Craigmillar Castle and Lauriston Castle.
There are lots of other fun things to do, including afternoon tea with Alice in Wonderland at Carberry Tower near Musselburgh and a host of activities in Easter festivals at Dalkeith Country Park and Conifox Adventure Park in Kirkliston.

9. Peter Rabbit movie and meet and greet at Brewhemia

10. Easter Eggsplorer Trail at Craigmillar Castle
Historic Environment Scotland invites you to find the clues and complete the challenge at the Easter Eggsplorer Trail at Craigmillar Castle. Get ready for a historic Easter trail through this Edinburgh castle. Who has been stealing all the Easter Eggs? A sweet-toothed culprit has been squirreling them all away! Solve the trail challenge and a chocolate treat awaits. Drop-in throughout the day, March 29 - April 1, to join in the fun. 11. Easter Eggstravaganza at Glencorse Centre
Get ready for a super fun Easter Eggstravaganza at Glencorse Centre on Saturday March 30, 11am - 2pm- it's gonna be egg-citing! The centre in Auchendinny near Penicuik will also provide Easter crafts and a visit from Firth the Fox with photo opportunities! 12. Soup Group Easter comedy show at The Stand
Soup Group, a silly physical comedy show for all the family, comes to The Stand Edinburgh on Sunday, March 31, at 2pm. This show is best suited for 5–12-year-olds. No under 5’s and all young comedy fans must be accompanied by an adult. Kids can enjoy visual jokes and messing about from this absurd duo. Soup Group are Phil O'Shea and James McIntosh. Together they create silly, interactive, fun comedy that has to be seen to be believed. This show explores the joy of creativity in a mess of movement, play and laughter.
