As the capital gets ready for nearly 20 degree weather over the next few days, here are the best parks and green spaces to enjoy the sun.
From Princes Street Gardens to Holyrood Park, these are some of the best places to visit for a lunchtime escape or a picnic or barbecue with friends in the capital.
Probably the best known of all the parks, but its size means you can easily find a bit of space to call your own. The area around the ruined Saint Anthonys Chapel provides a great view of Leith and Fife.
A 40 minute trip on the number 41 bus to Cramond village will put you within walking distance of one of Edinburghs best beaches.
Slap bang in the middle of the city, Princes Street Gardens is a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle with the castle and the Old Town as a backdrop.
