Celebrate Gal-entine's Day with a Parks and Recreation quiz at Edinburgh's Skybar

Forget Valentine’s Day, the SkyBar at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre on Bread Street is hosting an homage to Lesley Knope, star of Parks and Recreation, on Thursday 13 February.

The fictional character established ‘Galentine’s Day’ as a holiday in 2010 during an episode of the hit TV comedy show and at the SkyBar event, guests will get the chance to test their knowledge of the TV show with a quiz while enjoying a complimentary Snake Juice cocktail on arrival, or for an additional £5, you can indulge at the ‘Treat Yo’ Self’ waffle station.

The Parks and Recreation themed-quiz will let you celebrate Gal-entine’s with your best friends and amazing views of the Capital from the rooftop bar.

Parks and Recreation, a political satire sitcom ran from 2009 to 2015, for 125 episodes. It starred Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks Department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana. The cast included Rashida Jones, Paul Schneider, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, Retta and Billy Eichner.

The quiz will also feature other Parks and Recreation themed surprises. The quiz kicks off at 7pm and runs until late. So, gather together for a fun evening of ‘Ladies Celebrating Ladies’, or just friendship with your closest girls and guys.
