The organisers vow to give tour-goers the chance to visit the best in quality cheesemongers, discover new tastes and learn how your favourite food is made as the cheese fans meander from Stockbridge up towards Dundas Street, with a glass of bubbly supplied at the end for any thirsty travellers.

The tours are led by an expert guide who will challenge fans with trivia, provide a steady supply of cheese and a selection of in-curd-ible puns.

Originating in London, the organisers have brought the event north of the border after success down south. It ran earlier in the year but was forced to pause due to the pandemic.

Now it’s back with tours running from Saturday, September 5.

The tour description says: “ From local Scottish produce to the French king of cheeses and a sample of contemporary street food, end our crawl in style with a glass of fizz! What are you waiting for? You’ll brie delighted you came!”

The Cheese Crawl takes place every Saturday at 12pm and 3pm. Tickets cost £25 and include all the cheese along the way. Books can be made on the Fever website.
