Forget penguins and pandas, Edinburgh Zoo is turning to witches and wizards this month with its spooky spectacular illuminated Halloween trail
There are only a few tickets remaining for Edinburgh Zoo Spooktacular!. This new event is sure to be a big hit with families, on selected dates it throughout October.
Lindsay Ross, events and experiences manager at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, said: “Our brand-new Halloween event, Edinburgh Zoo Spooktacular!, is a first for us and we cannot wait to welcome families this autumn. From witches and wizards to pumpkin patches and spiders, it is sure to be frightfully fun for all the family.”
Ticket holders will visit the zoo after dark to wind their way through the spookily illuminated Halloween trail. Normally the zoo at night is alive to the sound of nocturnal animal noises, but you can expect a few ghostly goings on hidden along the trail – be prepared to meet a few unexpected guests along the way!
Children under three go free, and tickets range from £8.50 to £17 for everyone else.
Fancy making it even more magical? Sign up for the VIP experience and add a full day at the zoo, a two course supper in the Grasslands restaurant and then tickets to the spooktacular trail. These are selling fast, so make sure you don’t miss out.
Looking a little further ahead Edinburgh Zoo’s Christmas Nights are returning once more, after dazzling guests last year with a light trail brimming with festive cheer. It’s a fantastic way to get into the Christmas spirit – and if you add on a grotto visit to your package there will be a very special guest for the little ones to meet along the way, making this a Christmas trip to remember always.
Designed for a limited number of spaces, again, dates are filling up fast throughout December and January, so book now to avoid disappointment.
