A fundraising campaign topped £100,000 for the much-loved attraction after it went under on November 1 with 18 jobs lost.

Now mental health charity Love Learning and the owner of East Links Family Park have expressed an interest, while homeless charity Cyrenians have pulled out.

Shona Campbell, of liquidators MHA Henderson Loggie, the liquidator of Gorgie City Farm said: "MHA Henderson Loggie will now assess the bids before making recommendations to site landlord City of Edinburgh Council.

"A decision on the future of the site will be announced before the end of January."
