New York-style musical theatre cabaret will be the order of the evening on Sunday 12 January at 6pm in the hotel’s Dirty Martini Bar when The Secret Cabaret launches.

A new monthly intimate evening of show tunes, from the West End, Broadway and beyond, the cabaret will feature the very best of local talent and professional vocalists.

The Secret Cabaret has been successfully running each month for three years at the Bristol Hippodrome Piano Bar.

Based on an ‘original idea’ taken from similar cabarets at 54 Below in New York and the Crazy Coq’s in London, each month will see Edinburgh’s Secret Cabaret donate all profits to a local charity. The launch night will celebrate the work of Waverley Care, Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C charity and their incredible work.

The Secret Cabaret producer Angus Blance says, “It’s wonderful to bring this project to Edinburgh where there is so much talent. “Supporting Waverley Care was a clear choice for our launch night, we are very proud to be associated with them for the evening.”

Holly Rawlings from Waverley Care adds, “We are so excited that this new cabaret will support Waverley Care, we love musical theatre and the whole team will be there with enthusiasm.”

The cabaret’s creative team - Steven Segaud and Louise Sables - have assembled a cast of six local singers for the evening.
