André Rieu’s 2026 Maastricht Concert set for Edinburgh cinemas
This August step into a spectacular evening of music, joy, and celebration with André Rieu’s 2026 Maastricht Concert – Viva Maastricht!
Captured live in the breathtaking Vrijthof Square in the heart of his hometown, this brand-new summer concert brings the magic of André’s world-famous performances to cinemas across the UK for one weekend only on August 8 & 9 2026 - including Vue Edinburgh Omni Centre, Vue Edinburgh Ocean Terminal, ODEON Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird, and more.
As the historic setting of Vrijthof Square transforms into a glittering open-air ballroom, audiences are invited to experience the warmth, spirit, and charm of Maastricht and enjoy an unforgettable night of music under the stars, all from the comfort of their local cinema.
With screenings in various cinemas across the Scottish capital, expect to hear highlights including iconic songs from My Fair Lady and Les Misérables, favourites including Gabriel’s Oboe and the world-famous The Blue Danube, brought to life in André’s inimitable style.
Speaking ahead of the screenings, André Rieu says: “I am so excited to be performing our summer concerts in Maastricht for the 20th year this July! The unique atmosphere of the Vrijthof, which is the oldest square in the Netherlands, touches both heart and soul. It is fantastic that this concert will once again be shown in cinemas around the world in August, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as my orchestra and I do. Viva Maastricht!”
