Bass Rock Community Group unveils North Berwick Remembrance Pebbles Display
The Bass Rock Community Group and local art group pARTicipate have worked together with local groups to create a remembrance display outside the Abbey Church.
Richard Rogers of the Bass Rock Community Group said “It is very rewarding to see the quality of the pebble painting and the feedback I get, not only of the enjoyment from participating, but also from what is learned from it. A big thank you goes to all the groups that make this happen. With the design skills of pARTicipate, a local art group, the pebbles will be in place, outside Abbey Church in North Berwick, during November, to remind everyone of the ultimate sacrifice made by many for the freedoms we enjoy today. Once again, we are very grateful to Abbey Church for allowing the display to be placed outside the church. When the display is removed, the pebbles are returned to the sea and our thoughts go with them.”
