With more than 1,500 shows already revealed for this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we’ve taken a look at some of the famous faces you can see on stage this August.
Fringe favourites including David O’Doherty, Jason Byrne, Reginald D Hunter and Paul Merton will be joined by other ‘well-kent’ faces from comedy including Adam Hills, Nish Kumar, Dara O’Briain and Sara Pascoe.
Joining these famous stand-ups at the Fringe in August will be ventriloquist Nina Conti, politician Mhari Black, TV star Bobby Davro and national treasure Miriam Margolyes.

5. Adam Hills
The Australian host of Channel 4's The Last Leg is back with a brand-new show, combining positive stand-up comedy with rampant spontaneity. 6. Miriam Margolyes
National treasure Miriam Margolyes will be at the Fringe this year with a new show celebrating her love for the work of Charles Dickens. Unstoppable 82-year-old Miriam Margolyes returns to the Fringe with her new show. Combining her infectious passion for Charles Dickens with her phenomenal versatility, the Harry Potter actress brings to life the most colourful and iconic characters from his timeless novels. She then opens the floor to your unexpurgated burning questions, sharing the stories and life lessons that have made her a bestseller and undisputed queen of the chat show. 7. Bobby Davro
One of the UK's best-known celebrity entertainers over the last 40 years brings his first Fringe full run after a series of sell-out shows last year. Bobby Davro has appeared on numerous TV shows from Live at Her Majesty's to many of his own series over many years, through to regular appearances on Eastenders and shows including Dancing on Ice. Guaranteed belly laughs from a comedian still at the top of his game, despite suffering a stroke after collapsing at his comedy show in London in January. Bobby Davro: Everything is Funny... 8. Susie McCabe
Glasgow comedian Susie McCabe brings another barnstormer of a show to Edinburgh – on the back of her very own BBC Scotland stand-up special and four years of selling out shows at Glasgow King's Theatre. Seen on Live at the Apollo, House of Games, Have I Got News For You, Frankie Boyle's New World Order and supporting Kevin Bridges, Jason Manford and John Bishop on tour.
