We’ve taken a look at all the city has to offer that set it apart from its biggest rival, Glasgow. From the very ground the city is built on to its tourist attractions, the differences are to be celebrated as special to each city.

So take a look at some of the differences we spotted, and let us know what unique Edinburgh things you love the most.

6. It's the birthplace of the first (and best) James Bond
The first, and best, James Bond was born in the city. Sean Connery was born in Edinburgh in 1930 and, if claims are to be believed, delivered milk to everyone in the city's granny. | Getty Images

7. A Volcano
It might be extinct, but having a volcano in the centre of your city is certainly a big difference from Glasgow. | Adobe

8. A nuclear bunker
Hidden under Corstorphine Hill, Barnton Quarry Bunker is a Cold War relic. After its stint as an operations room for RAF Turnhouse in WWII came to an end, the facility was repurposed as a Regional Seat of Government (RSG) destined to hold Scotland’s top brass in the event of a nuclear attack. If there's something like this in Glasgow, it hasn't been found yet. Photo: Submitted
