Despite guising being discouraged due to a recent surge in coronavirus cases, families been going all out at their homes to make the most of the festive period.
We thought we would gather together a few pictures showing some of the more out-there and eccentric homes spotted around Scotland this year.
1. Tarland, Aberdeenshire
An original take on Halloween decorations this year has been spotted up in Tarland with this enormous spider crafted from a hay bail on a farmer's piece of land. Photo: Fubar News
2. Battlefield Avenue, Glasgow
A building in Battlefield Avenue, Glasgow, lit up with silhouettes of cats prowling across each window. The area in Glasgow has taken part in a Window Wanderland event with many residents taking part and decorating their houses for Halloween. Photo: Vicki Jane
3. Rannoch Street, Glasgow
The cats you can see in the window at Rannoch Street are caricatures of Karen Brown's 12-year-old cat Jasper who does exactly this pose when he comes across a dog or another cat unexpectedly. Karen and her family have used orange and yellow tissue paper for some of the cats eyes for effect and of course exaggerated the whole spooky look just for Halloween. Photo: Karen Brown
4. Battlefield showing off now
Here is a collection of photos taken by Debi Kirk during her walk around Battlefield in Glasgow, admiring the residents' efforts in the neighbourhoods Window Wanderland activity organised for this year's Halloween. Photo: Debi Kirk
