Of the new cases reported today 100 were in the Lothians, 257 were in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board, 133 were in Lanarkshire and 119 were in Ayrshire and Arran.

The rest were reported across nine other health board areas.

1,472 people are currently in hospital with the virus which is a decrease of 27 from the figure reported yesterday.

115 people are currently in intensive care, which is six more than the figure reported yesterday.

As of 8.30am today, 1,113,628 people had received their first dose of the vaccine in Scotland.

The 67 additional deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brings the death toll in Scotland, under this daily measurement, to 6,666.

The additional 830 positive cases in the last 24 hours brings the total number of people who have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic to 190,005.
