Data released by the Scottish Government breaks down the number of positive covid-19 cases per 100,000 people, according to neighbourhood.
This data is from January, 17 to January 23, 2021.
North Lanarkshire has become the worst hit area again with 285.6 cases per 100,000.
While at the bottom of the scale, and not included on this list, sits the Orkney Islands which recorded nine new cases with a rate of 40.4 per 100,000.

. North Lanarkshire

9. South Ayrshire
South Ayrshire recorded 130.5 new cases per 100,00 population in the last seven days. This area recorded a total of 147 new cases. Photo: Shutterstock

10. East Ayrshire
128.7 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in East Ayrshire per 100,000 population between November 21 and 27. This area saw a total of 157 new cases in this time frame. Photo: JPIMedia
