18 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Edinburgh and Lothians with 208 more infected across Scotland

208 new positive coronavirus cases have been confirmed across Scotland, with 18 new cases in the NHS Lothian Board area.

In the Sottish Government’s latest update for Sunday, September 6, data showed no new deaths have been reported. It means the death toll remains at 2,496.

The figures confirmed that as of 2pm, four people were in intensive care with confirmed COVID-19 across the country, while 245 people were in hospital.

There was an increase of 30 positive cases in the NHS Lanarkshire Board region, with a total of 3,094 cases.

There were 92 new confirmed cases in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde region.

A total of 631,353 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these people, 21,397 were positive and 609,956 were confirmed negative.
