Coronavirus in Scotland: 158 new cases recorded in the Lothians in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours 158 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Lothians as 36 new deaths have been recorded across Scotland.

In total, Scotland has recorded 744 new cases.

Of the new cases, 172 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 158 in the Lothians and 94 in Grampian.

To date, 1,032 people are being treated in hospital having tested for coronavirus which is 20 more than yesterday.

50 people are being cared for in intensive care, which is the same as the figure reported yesterday.

In total, Scotland has recorded 110,040 cases of coronavirus.

With the additional 36 deaths recorded today, since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths in Scotland related to coronavirus stands at 4,239.
