Coronavirus in Scotland: 44 new Covid-19 deaths as cases rise by 788

Figures released by the Scottish Government this afternoon reveal that coronavirus deaths in Scotland have risen by 44 since yesterday.

It brings the total number of deaths in Scotland since the start of the outbreak to 3,720.

The figures also showed that 788 people tested positive for the virus since Friday, around 4.4 per cent (up from 4 per cent) of all those who were tested.

1,077 people were being treated for Covid-19 in Scotland’s hospitals, 77 of whom were in intensive care units.
