Coronavirus in Scotland: 682 new cases are detected as positive tests rise
There has been a rise in the number of new cases of coronavirus in Scotland, according to figures released today.
There were 682 new cases of COVID-19 reported today, up from 591 yesterday.
17 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive, down from 22 yesterday.
That brings Scotland’s total number of deaths so far to 7500.
A total of 512 people are in hospital with recently confirmed COVID-19, down from 556 the previous day.
Of those, 38 people are in ICU, down four from Thursday.
1,844,636 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 149,409 have received their second dose
