Pure Gym was notified earlier this week by Test and Protect that members of their Fort Kinnaird gym who caught the virus listed the gym as a venue they had recently visited.
A gym spokesperson was unable to say how many of their members recently tested positive for coronavirus but said those who have visited the gym in the last month have been notified.

As a result of this and on the guidance of the Environmental Health Officer and Public Health Scotland (PHS), with whom we are in close dialogue with, we have increased our deep cleaning regime in this club to once an hour and reduced the gym’s capacity (141 to 100 members).

"We have also notified all those members of Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird who have visited in the last month. In addition, two Personal Trainers in this gym recently notified us they had tested positive for Covid-19 and are now isolating for 14 days.
"Having recently visited PureGym Fort Kinnaird the Environmental Health Officer and PHS are satisfied with our Covid-19 protocol and we are extremely confident our gyms are safe places to work and safe places to work out.”
It emerged earlier this month that a personal trainer at the gym had tested positive for coronavirus.
