Over the years, New Year revellers in the Capital have been spoiled rotten, with some truly epic gigs from the biggest names in music.
Here, we take a look back over some of the very best Edinburgh Hogmanay gigs.
1. Simple Minds
Edinburgh marked its 20th year of hosting one of the world's largest new year parties with a headline gig from Scottish rock legends Simple Minds to celebrate the onset of 2013. 2. The Proclaimers
In 2001, Leith twins Charlie and Craig Reid - better known as The Proclaimers - delighted the home crowd as they played a typically rousing set that including fan-favourites like Letter From America and I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles). 3. Paolo Nutini
In 2006, West Coast singing sensation Paolo Nutini played two Edinburgh's Hogmanay concerts in Princes Street Gardens on 30th and 31st. All the hits, such as New Shoes and Jenny Don't Be Hasty were present and correct. Photo: Third Party
4. Primal Scream
Scots indie legends Primal Scream headlined the Concert in the Gardens in 2011. Singer Bobby Gillespie and his band dusted off fan favourites such as Movin' On Up, Come Together, Country Girl, Jailbird and Rocks.
