Hide AdHaggis hunters from around the world gathered at Oban Distillery to taste and judge first-hand entries to the public vote.
Boghall Butchers beat competition from Crombie's in Edinburgh and Anderson Quality Butchers in North Berwick to claim the prize.
Oban chef Campbell Cameron, who was involved in the judging, said: "Like whisky there is no such thing as a bad haggis, there are good haggis and there are better haggis.

Customers week after week
Boghall Butchers' Paul Boyle celebrated the resounding victory for his team's chieftain of the pudding race.
"It is something that we have been improving over the last few years to try and win," he said. "We never seem to have got there but we are delighted to have won the award and I'm sure that it will be a great boost to sales.
