The store, located on New Town’s Frederick Street, will be open to the public every Tuesday until Sunday up until Christmas.

The new location will be decked out in winter wonder, with the distiller’s most popular bottles and gifts on sale, including the recently launched Poached Pear liqueur, which features natural flavours like sweet pear, delicate red wine and warming festive spices, like clove, cinnamon and nutmeg, and the brand-new range of Storybook gift packs, which are inspired by the Scottish Capital’s love of the written word – and could contain a golden ticket for a first edition book worth thousands. Every purchase will be gift wrapped by the in-store team.

As part of their festive offering Edinburgh Gin has also launched a special personalisation service on-site, where shoppers purchasing a 70cl bottle of their Classic London Dry will be able to swap out the iconic “EG” letters on the bottle label for their initials, or those of a loved one.

The pop-up has been designed and fitted out to be Covid-19 compliant, with sanitisation stations and a layout that allows for social distancing throughout the customer’s shopping experience.

The Frederick Street location will operate alongside the existing distillery shop, with customers able to take advantage of the complete Edinburgh Gin Christmas shopping experience at either site.

Neil Boyd, UK managing director at Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “There’s something truly spectacular about Christmas shopping in Edinburgh, but we know this year it’s going to look very different. Which is why we decided to bring back the wonder of selecting that perfect gift for a loved one with this magical pop-up in New Town.
