5. Tolbooth Tavern

6. The Mitre Bar
Home to the ghost of an archbishop who refuses to leave, mysterious happenings include the pub jukebox being turned on and off according to his taste, and engineers being pushed and thrown to the floor when attempting to fix it. Photo: Google

7. Whistle Binkies Live Music Bar
This pub and live music venue is built into part of the South Bridge vaults and has many spooky tales to tell, including sightings of a ghostly-figure named The Watcher, who wears black riding boots and a tri-cornered hat. Photo: Google

8. Greyfriars Bobby's Bar
Greyfriars Bobby's Bar is said to be haunted by Bobby himself, but in a friendly-ghost type of way. Legend has it that after his owner, John Gray passed away in 1858, Bobby faithfully watched over his grave every night. When the dog eventually died in 1872 he was buried alongside his master in the Greyfriars Kirkyard.
