Edinburgh takeaway named winner at Food Awards Scotland 2022

Go-Go’s Takeaway, on Niddrie Mains Road, won the title of Takeaway of the Year South East at the Scottish Food Awards on Monday evening (September 26).
The winners were announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel, with Go-Go’s Takeaway coming out on top against the best takeaways in the region.

Hide AdGo-Gos specialise in pizzas, kebabs and curries, and the owners pride themselves on using only the finest fresh ingredients.
The Food Awards Scotland 2022 recognised the success of local professionals and establishments that continue to deliver great flavours and experiences to their customers.
They said “all the finalists and winners have helped shape and build Scotland’s reputation of food”.
The winners, they added, “are a true reflection of high standard and customer service and are chosen by members of the general public”.

Earlier this week, the Evening News reported that an Edinburgh chippy also scooped not one but two food awards – including the coveted title of Best Fish and Chip Shop in Scotland.
Pierinos, on Bernard Street, was also named Best Fish and Chip Shop in the South East at the Scottish Food Awards.
