A brand new Indian grill restaurant is set to open in Corstorphine in March.

Prana, will open in the former residence of Abida on St Johns Road and will offer hungry customers 'classic Indian food with a Scottish twist'.

"We are bringing our culinary skills to our new location on St Johns Road, Edinburgh.

"Formally Abida which has occupied the site for many years and gained a reputation for excellence.

"Let our food take you on a culinary journey of authentic flavours mixing classic Indian food with a Scottish twist."

The new restaurant is currently recruiting managers, waiting staff, bar tenders and drivers ahead of its opening.

Evening News readers dubbed Abida one of their top three curry houses in the Capital which took the second place prize in the Curry House of the Year awards last year.

The takeaway which has been closed since January for the refurbishment to Prana has been operating since 2009.
