Poundland on Princes Street has launched its own festive themed pasty to take on high street competitors Greggs.
The discount store launched its pasty, costing £1 for the 300g pastry, alongside a video claiming it was loved by 'Gregs'.

The video also includes a sly dig towards Greggs' vegan sausage roll with the narrator stating "Poundland's first Christmas pasty, whose managing director loves meat by the way."
The pasty is part of a festive line of products which have been launched in the store which opened in Princes Street last month in the former Currys/PC World shop.

The store was criticised when it opened in Princes Street and described as "embarrassing" and an "eyesore".
However the company fought back, saying they were "supporting high streets while others leave".
