A property, advertised as the address that famous fictional detective John Rebus lived, has gone on sale in Edinburgh.

The Arden Street flat has been named by Rebus author Ian Rankin as the stair where the detective lives, and has gone on the market for £450,000.

Ian Rankin has written 22 novels set in Edinburgh and centred around Inspector John Rebus, with the latest, “In a House of Lies” released in 2018.
