In an Instagram post, Tala said: "Revealing our not-so-wee secret (that some of you already guessed): TALA edinburgh, coming 'so' soon.

"She's our first *ever* store outside of London and we couldn't be more excited to a) open b) celebrate with you c) continue scot girl summer into autumn/winter/forever."

Tala was founded by influencer and entrepreneur Grace Beverley and is part of the £70 million wellness empire she has built up since starting on Instagram as a student at Oxford.

The company currently has two stores in London, in Carnaby Street and at Westfield White City, which opened in May and November last year.

Reports said the new Edinburgh shop would "showcase the brand's full product range, offering customers an immersive brand experience with a personalised service, building on the learnings from both London locations".

And Tala's chief executive officer Sally Hughes-Daniels was quoted saying: “We’re proud to announce that Tala is opening its third store and first outside of London. The success of our Carnaby and Westfield White City stores has proven our retail model, and it’s now time to build on this success.

“Expanding beyond London has long been in the works, but for our first step outside the capital, it was so important that we found a location that felt a natural fit for Tala, and Edinburgh ticks every box.

“We already know we have a great Tala community in Edinburgh, and the city’s strong outdoor and active culture makes it the perfect place for us to put down roots.

“Bringing Tala to women all around the UK is one of our key goals, and we’re looking forward to Edinburgh marking the start of that IRL journey. We can’t wait to meet more of our community in person and become part of this historic city.”
