East Lothian: Musselburgh man charged in connection with eight offences, including fraud and housebreaking

A 30-year-old man in Musselburgh has been found and charged with eight offences, including fraud and housebreaking with intent, in East Lothian.

Details of the charges were released by Police Scotland after officers in East Lothian responded to an incident in the Levenhall area of Musselburgh on the morning of May 25.

The 30-year-old man has been charged with fraud, attempted housebreaking, housebreaking with intent and four section 57 offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following enquiries by the East Lothian proactive crime team, a 30-year-old male has been traced and charged with the following eight offences – fraud, attempt HB, housebreaking with intent and four x Section 57 offences, which relates to being in or on a building with the intent to commit theft.”
