The Linburn Centre, which supports blind and visually impaired war veterans has been targeted by vandals in West Lothian.

Police are appealing for information after a safety rail and a seat has been badly damaged as the Linburn Centre in Wilkieston.

The Linburn Centre provides support from war veterans who lost their sight, or partially lost their sight.

It is thought the damage was done between 1pm on April 30 and 4pm on May 1.

PC Russel Rosie the community officer for the area has the enquiry and commented: "The incident is particularly saddening given how much people rely on the centre, we are extremely keen to trace those responsible as quickly as possible".

Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting incident number 1960 of May 5, or drop into your local police station.
