Lothian bus attack: 15-year-old boy charged after driver left injured by smashed glass

A 15-year-old boy has been charged after a bus driver was injured during an attack on a number 49 service in Edinburgh.

The Lothian bus driver was covered in shards of glass after a youth hurled an item at the vehicle’s front window on Niddrie Mains Road on Tuesday, 2 March at about 8pm.

A police spokesman said: “A 15-year-old youth has been charged in relation to damaging a bus and injuring a bus driver in the North East of Edinburgh.
