Macmerry: Man charged for buying alcohol for underage youths in East Lothian village
A man has been charged for buying alcohol for minors in an East Lothian village.
Reports were made to the police that an adult had purchased alcohol for underage youths in Macmerry.
A 31-year-old male was traced and charged in connection to the incident, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “It is an offence to purchase alcohol for anyone under the legal age and police are reminding adults and premises of their responsibilities in relation to this.”
