Off-road bikes are only allowed on private land and even then need the landowner’s permission.

The force said a teenage boy was charged with multiple road traffic offences, while the bike was seized by police.

In a statement, Police Scotland reminded residents that it is an offence to ride such bikes on streets and public land.

They added: “If you have any information regarding this type of behaviour, please contact Police Scotland through 101, contact us online, or call 999 in cases of an emergency.”
