Police and firefighters called to Leith street following reports of 'concern for a person'
Police and firefighters were called to a street in Leith today following reports of "concern for a person."
A picture sent to the Evening News shows a police car blocking off Parliament Street with a fire appliance parked outside a property.
Firefighters can be seen at the doorway of Dunedin Harbour Hostel while some cones on the street block off the access.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police received a call at around 4:40pm to a concern for a person."
The spokeswoman was unable to provide any more details about the incident.
A staff member at the hostel declined to comment.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said police were handling the matter.
