Son of missing Elaine McArthur pays tribute to 'beautiful' mum following body discovery

The son of missing Edinburgh woman Elaine McArthur has made an emotional tribute to her on social media.
Yesterday, police searching for the 48-year-old confirmed a body had been discovered in the Granton area.

Hide AdElaine was last seen around 12.40pm on Saturday, April 18 outside a shop on Crewe Road North. She then walked east along Royston Mains a short time later.
Police Scotland had described her as ‘vulnerable’.
Her son, Harry, spearheaded an emotional campaign to try to ensure her safe return.
He has since posted this heartfelt message on Facebook:
“Mum was always an incredible mother to myself and my sister, Rebecca, and was loved so much more than she ever knew.
“She taught me so much and I am proud of the person I am today thanks to her and the effort she put into my life.

“Heaven has gained an angel and will be a better place for it.
“Thanks for everything mum, we love you so much.
