This is how you can tell an Edinburgh Just Eat bike is stolen - and what to do if you see one

There is one sure-fire way to tell if an Just Eat bike is stolen in Edinburgh - and not many people know about it.

Edinburgh Police South East team shared this handy snippet of advice on their Twitter account.

According to them a flashing red and blue light on the front wheel is the sign that the bike has been taken illegally.

Jokingly, the force said that the flashing light may resemble a 'cool disco light'.

The tweet read: "What may looks like cool disco lights are actually the signs of a stolen Just Eat bike!!

"If you see someone riding one which is flashing away like this, give us a call."

the Just Eat bikes, which require an app to sign them out, have been targeted by several vandals since they were installed in the Capital.
