Road closures are in place on the Edinburgh City Bypass due to an ongoing police incident near the M8 slip off.
The slip road from Calder junction on the A720 to the M8 is closed due to the incident and drivers are advised to avoid the area. Images from the scene show several police vehicles and a fire appliance on site.
Traffic Scotland said: “There is no access to the M8 westbound junction 1 from the A71 westbound Calder junction slip road. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
