We take a look at all the restrictions in place, offering a one stop shop for all locals in the Capital and for those parking in and around Edinburgh during the event.

Roads in Edinburgh where all waiting, loading and unloading is prohibited in the interests of public safety and for the free flow of traffic during the Festival Fireworks 2018.

From 07:00 23/08 until 18:00 on 31/08

Regent Road

South side from the western extent of the buses bays opposite Regent Terrace for 80m eastwards (except event related council vehicles and equipment).

From 08:00 on 27/08 until 23:59 on 27/08

Kings Stables Road

Restrictions on both sides, in its entirety (except event related vehicles)

From 14:00 on 27/08 until 23:00 on 27/08/18

The Mound

Parking restrictions on both sides in its entirety.

From 16:00 on 27/08 until 23:30 on 27/08/18

North Bridge

No parking on both sides in its entirety (except for taxi rank until 1930 and event related vehicles).

Hanover Street

Cars prevented from parking along its entirety from Princes St to George St (except for taxi rank until 1800.

Frederick Street

No parking on both sides in its entirety from Princes St to Queen St (except for taxi rank until 1800 and emergency service vehicles on the east side from George St. to Queen St.)

Castle Street

No parking on both sides in its entirety (except events related vehicles).

South Charlotte Street

Prohibited on both sides in its entirety.

Market Street

No parking on both sides from Waverley Bridge to the Mound.

Parliament Square prohibited in its entirety.

South Bridge Both sides from High Street to Chambers Street.

North side from its junction with New Street for 25 metres westwards and for 50 metres eastwards to include bus stop.

North side from entrance to Canongate Kirk eastwards to Dunbar’s Close.

Both sides from opposite Galloway’s Entry eastwards to the foot of the Canongate.
