Karate Kid legend Ralph Macchio explores Edinburgh after Comic Con appearance
The kung fu legend found time to check out some of the city’s most iconic spots
The karate kid himself has been spotted touring the city’s landmarks after greeting fans at Comic Con Scotland.
Best known for mastering the martial arts as Daniel LaRusso, actor Ralph Macchio snapped pics of everything from Edinburgh Castle to a sausage roll.
Taking to Instagram following his trip, the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai star said: “What a wonderfully rich and historic city and thank you for the amazing warm welcome!”

Macchio braved Storm Boelo to attend Comic Con at the Royal Highland Centre this weekend, joining a line-up of pop culture icons including William Shatner and David Harbour.
He joined his fictional rival William Zabka on stage for a panel discussion about all things Karate Kid.
The same could not be said for Harbour, who was forced to cancel his appearance after 70mph winds resulted in his flight being cancelled.
It seems Macchio made the most of his visit after the storm passed, his trip to the UK was not complete without a sausage roll from one of Edinburgh’s award-winning Mòr Bakehouses.

He also captured a Princes Street selfie in front of the Scott Monument .
The 64-year-old first took up the mantle as the Karate Kid for the 1984 hit film and went on to play the Italian-American teenager in three sequels before appearing once again in Cobra Kai.
Last year saw the movie star finally earn his black belt as he teamed up with Jackie Chan to mentor a new kung fu prodigy in Karate Kid: Legends.
