There's always beauty in a name - Hayley Matthews

I was on BBC Radio Scotland earlier in the week talking baby names after the announcement of little Lilibet was reported to the world.

As news of the chosen name from Megan and Harry's latest bubba came in from over the pond, everyone started talking about it as people gave their opinions on if they liked it or not.

Personally, I quite like the name Lilibet Diana and have to admit, I do feel for them having the pressure to keep some royal names in the family. The chat on the radios was about naming your babies and how you came to name them. I told Kaye Adams, who was hosting the show, how we decided on our children's names but also how we've kept the family names going by using them as middle names.

As I chatted with the other guest we joked about some names that you rarely hear and how in the last 40 years there hasn't been any registered Sandras on the birthing name list. So here's to all the Sandras, Phanellas and Betties of the world. Their names maybe aren't as common as the Sarahs and Lisas of the world, but they are all equally as beautiful.

And to wee Lilibet - Diana, welcome to the world beautiful girl!
