Concerned parents complain about 'inconsiderate parking' at East Lothian primary school

Parking on double yellow lines and taking care when moving vehicles outside Cockenzie Primary are among the issues raised with police and the council in recent weeks.
Officers Fiona Cunningham and Walker Nixon will be carrying out high visibility patrols in the area as a result and drivers are being reminded that the safety of children attending school is top priority.

Hide AdPolice are urging drivers to be more considerate when parking and moving their vehicles in the school area.
A spokesperson for East Lothian Council said: “We’re highlighting the importance of parking responsibly and with consideration for others, including pedestrians and cyclists.
"In the current climate, when Covid-19 continues to pose a risk to health, it’s important that we give each other plenty of space and can move around communities across East Lothian, and to and from school, safely.”
