'Edin-BRAH': Watch the hilarious moment Vanessa Hudgens attempts Scottish accent after filming in Capital
The High School Musical star said she was questioned by a local on her fashion sense
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has spoken about her experience of filming in Edinburgh on an American chat show after wrapping up her shoot in the Capital.
Hudgens, 31, was spotted at various locations throughout the Capital over Christmas and New Year while filming new Netflix movie The Princess Switch: Switched Again.
Speaking to hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on chat show Live, Hudgens hilariously attempts to pronounce Edinburgh, admitting her difficulty in getting it right while on set.
She said: "I had to say it in the movie and I was like 'how do I say this place that I'm in?'.
"It looks like 'Edin-burg' but you can't say 'Edin-burg'.
"So I was like 'Edin-brah', and that's where I landed."
Vanessa went on to talk about her run-in with a local, who told her that her coat looked like she was walking around in a sleeping bag, and attempting again the Scottish accent, causing the hosts and studio audience to burst out laughing.
She said: "A girl literally walks by me in Edin-brah and was like 'she's wearing a sleeping bag'."
Hudgens was in Edinburgh over the festive period and was regularly seen around the city, while also posting on her personal Instagram account from events such as the Torchlight Procession that kicked of the Hogmanay celebrations.
