Hide AdSpeaking to hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on chat show Live, Hudgens hilariously attempts to pronounce Edinburgh, admitting her difficulty in getting it right while on set.
She said: "I had to say it in the movie and I was like 'how do I say this place that I'm in?'.
"It looks like 'Edin-burg' but you can't say 'Edin-burg'.
"So I was like 'Edin-brah', and that's where I landed."
Vanessa went on to talk about her run-in with a local, who told her that her coat looked like she was walking around in a sleeping bag, and attempting again the Scottish accent, causing the hosts and studio audience to burst out laughing.
She said: "A girl literally walks by me in Edin-brah and was like 'she's wearing a sleeping bag'."
