The annual celebration of Scotland's greatest ever poet Robert Burns takes place this Thursday, January 25, with so much to do in Edinburgh to mark the occasion.
The Bard's birthday will see lots of fun events taking place in the city on the day as well as into the weekend. Special events will be held at Edinburgh tourist attractions including Mary King's Close, Royal Yacht Britannia and the National Museum of Scotland.

Those who are looking to opt for wine over whisky can head to McLarens on The Corner this Thursday to celebrate Scotland's National Bard. Event-goers can indulge in a traditional crafted and thoughtfully curated four-course meal, each dish expertly paired with a glass of wine. Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a piper, a toast to the haggis and soulful poetry. 7. The Royal Yacht Britannia
To celebrate the birth of our national bard, Robert Burns, former floating palace, The Royal Yacht Britannia, is hosting a ticketed traditional Burns Supper onboard, on Saturday, January 27 at 7pm. You will be welcomed aboard on the red carpet by Britannia's piper to experience an unforgettable Scottish evening. A delicious five-course menu will be served in the State Dining Room by Britannia's butlers. Traditional Scottish music will be played throughout dinner by Britannia's musicians and, the highlight of the evening, the 'Address to a Haggis' will be followed after dinner by a Whisky Tasting.
