I'm an Edinburgh singer and I can't wait to perform at Glastonbury for the first time this summer
I am so excited to be playing at Glastonbury, on the Left Field stage on the Friday, at about 3pm. It’s not an easy gig to get so I’m proper stoked and I’m going to just try to enjoy the whole experience of it all as much as I can.
This will be my first time ever at Glastonbury. I tried to get tickets last year, but it’s so hard to get tickets. So when I got asked to perform it was a no-brainer. I found out in April, not that long ago. When my manager called me about playing the festival I couldn’t believe it.

I was just like “absolutely yes!” I’m a bit nervous about performing but more excited. I think there is always nerves, but that’s healthy. I think it will be fun.
I don’t really know what to expect but it should be fun. My manager said it’s quite a songwriters’ stage. It’s great I’m on the Friday afternoon, as I can then enjoy the rest of the weekend after my performance, catching all the great acts at the festival. I couldn’t have timed that any better!
Glasto is one of the biggest festivals in the world. So it’s mental to be able to say I’m playing Glastonbury this year. It’s definitely a case of ticking it off a bucket list.
I’m currently rehearsing for it just to make sure everything is alright on the day. If you are well prepared you are more confident, then it’s just more fun and you can enjoy it more.

After Glastonbury
We still have no plans for an album yet. I think it will still be singles towards an EP. Because of Tik Tok the music industry is very single-driven. I’m signed to Universal Records, and doing albums on a label is really quite rare now.
I’m releasing an upbeat song this summer. It just needs to be mixed and mastered. It’s kind of in the same style as my previous single ‘In My 20s’.
I love a ballad and have been working on ballads the past year or so, I’ve released a few of them. But this one is more pop-driven, with a bit of an 80s feel. I’m looking forward to getting it out.

Live
I don’t do many shows in Scotland unfortunately, but I reckon after the summer I will be doing a UK tour so hopefully that includes headline shows in Scotland, including in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Arena
I think a new music arena for Edinburgh is badly needed, I feel like the music scene in Edinburgh will feel a boost from this if it goes ahead. Obviously there are lots of great smaller venues here, but to have an arena in the city is a great thing and it would bring more top music acts to Edinburgh and hopefully help the Scottish music scene.
