Fisherrow Harbour: False alarm as coastguard, helicopters and lifeboats respond to reports of swimmers in trouble in East Lothian

Coastguard helicopters and life boat crews were seen near Fisherrow Harbour in Musselburgh after receiving reports of swimmers in trouble.

The swimmers were said to be in trouble and clinging to something that resembled a raft.

The South Queensferry life boats and the Kinghorn life boats as well as the Fisherrow coastguard were sent to the scene.

The coastguard was called to the Musselburgh coastline.

When the emergency boats arrived, they found the swimmers to be in no danger, and the object they were clinging too appeared to be a swimming float.
