Red Arrows in Edinburgh: Watch incredible videos showing Red Arrows performing flyover above Edinburgh
and live on Freeview channel 276
The aircraft formed an arrow head for the 7pm flypast and left red, blue and white trails in the blue skies above the Capital.
Many people have been sharing pictures and video footage of the Red Arrows on social media tonight.
It is understood the flyover could be a legacy from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
The Red Arrows were scheduled to pass over the Capital on August 15 as part of the 75th VJ Day commemorations before flying on to Belfast, Cardiff and London. The event was organised to commemorate VJ Day on August 15, 1945 - the day World War Two ended with Japan's surrender after the US dropped two atomic bombs in the country, killing 214,000 people.
