A video showing adorable otters playing and swimming in the River Almond in West Lothian has been snapped by Edinburgh rugby player Pierre Schoeman.
“They were magnificent” says Pierre, nicknamed ‘The Greatest Schoeman’ by team mates and fans.

Hide Ad“There were three or four people about - all social distancing - watching them.”
Pierre was out walking with his wife, Charissa, alongside the river at a spot near Livingston, when he filmed the otters.
“I spoke to some of my neighbours and the locals and they said that they have never seen wild river otters in the area, so it’s pretty rare.
“Rugby players from around the world messaged me saying they had never seen wild river otters.
