Westburn Grove fire: 65-year-old man taken to hospital after emergency services attend blaze in Edinburgh flat

A 65-year-old has been taken to hospital after an Edinburgh ground floor flat caught fire in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was called to the flat, on Westburn Grove in Westerhailes, at 1.05am on Monday.

Hide AdThe SFRS confirmed that they attended the blaze using four breathing apparatus.
They left the scene at 3.37am.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: “Police received report of a fire at a property on Westburn Grove, Edinburgh around 1.05am on Monday, 24 August, 2020.
“Emergency services attended, a 20-year-old man was treated by ambulance at the scene and a 65-year-old man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
