Officers believe that he may have been in the Thurso area on Saturday January 9.

Inspector David Robertson of Gayfield Police Station said: “Ronald has various health conditions and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

“He’s a keen hill walker who may have travelled to the Durness and Tongue areas, also.

“We’re asking anyone who may have seen Ronald in this time, or has information which can help us establish his whereabouts, to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
