Rooftop restaurant plans unveiled for Waverley Mall
Architectural studio Stallan-Brand has drawn up proposals to turn the current tourist information centre into one of Edinburgh’s most spectacular eateries.
Images show floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Waverley Station, with a continental-style terrace for outside dining.

The move is part of a wider revamp of the plaza, which will see the area “de-cluttered” to improve views and public access.
The tourist information centre will be relocated to the low-rise building beside Waverley Steps.
In its design statement, Stallan-Brand insists: “The sensitive approach of the design proposals ensure that key views are maintained and no historic feature is adversely affected.
